Willing Women Workers (WWW) is a group of ladies who started meeting early in 1994.  They first met in one of the ladies home and from then on we met in the fellowship room of the church of Christ at 1144 So. Emporia.  We meet on the first Tuesday of each month to provide, make and deliver items for community service.

The following articles have been provided to nursing homes, Women's Crisis Center, Miracle House, St. Joseph Hospital, Wichita Fire Dept., American Cancer Society and many other deserving orginazations.

  1.  Bears in blankets for children in trauma.
  2.  Large straw hats decorated with flowers and scarves for chemotherapy patients.
  3.  Caps for American Cancer Society children who go to Camp Hope each year.
  4.  Vases with flowers for nursing home dining tables.
  5.  Large lap robes.
  6.  Pain-point pillows.
  7.  Baskets filled with fruit, candy, cookies, muffins, Kleenex, pens, note pads, etc.
  8.  Large bibs.
  9. Alzheimer's busy aprons.
10. Large bags of new and used clothing and personal items delivered to Women's Crisis Center.
11. Colorful door arrangements for Lincoln East Nursing Home.
12. Wheel caddies made and delivered to Christ Villa and Lake North Center.
13. Strung yarn on coffee cans for patients to hold their get-well and birthday cards.
14. Garments given to St. Joseph Hospital for psychiatric patients.
15. Rice hot/cold packs.
